Josh follows Sandra to Walford, seeking answers about Jasmine in EastEnders

But is he prepared to speak to Zoe?

When Jean arrives back in Walford, it’s clear that there is still friction between her and Zoe over Jasmine. But after overhearing Zoe on an emotional call with Kat, and after some encouragement from Alfie, Jean decides to offer an olive branch to Zoe, and the pair finally put aside their differences.

Meanwhile, Denise and Kim jump into protection mode when they hear that a woman called Sandra is asking questions about Jasmine. But they soon realise her true identity, she is the adoptive mother of Zoe’s son, Josh.

As Sandra shares more about her backstory with Josh and Jasmine before she makes to leave Walford, Kim and Denise listen, and they’re all surprised to discover that Josh has arrived in Walford in search of his mum, Sandra.

Later, Josh and Sandra join Denise and Kim for a drink in The Albert as he searches for answers about Jasmine. But Denise soon puts her foot in it by mentioning Zoe, and Josh leaves, insisting he doesn’t want anything to do with his biological mum.

When Denise and Kim anxiously tell Patrick about their encounter, he is upset to have lost another connection to Anthony. And later, when Sandra calls Denise, the pair head to her flat to speak to Josh about Jasmine.

Later, Denise and Kim buoy Patrick over Josh, and encourage him to write a letter about his life story. And the pair head back to Sandra’s to deliver it, who encourages Josh to read it.

Returning to Walford, Josh tells a delighted Kim and Denise that he’d like to meet the Trueman family next week. And he’s soon distracted by Oscar, who catches his eye.
