Julia Garner to lead Apple TV's new thriller Guilty Creatures

Apple TV has announced Guilty Creatures, a new thriller based on the true-crime book Guilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida by Mikita Brottman.


Julia Garner will star and executive produce the series, which delves into the psyche of a torrid romance and subsequent act of murder between two young, adulterous but God-fearing lovers, unravelling their complex lives and the emotional toll of living as killers for 18 years.


This riveting true-crime narrative, set against a backdrop of sex and murder in the Florida panhandle, promises to become an instant classic.


Made by Tomorrow Studios, an ITV Studios partner, Guilty Creatures will be directed by Craig Gillespie, with Stuart Zicherman as showrunner and executive producer, and the series has been adapted for the screen by Sarah DeLappe.


Guilty Creatures has been developed through the studios’ first-look deals with Garner’s Alma Margo and Gillespie’s Fortunate Jack Productions and will be executive produced by Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements and Alissa Bachner for Tomorrow Studios, along with Julia Garner for Alma Margo, Craig Gillespie and Annie Marter for Fortunate Jack Productions, as well as Stuart Zicherman Sarah, DeLappe and Mikita Brottman.
