Kat is devastated as Stacey reveals she can't help towards buying The Vic in EastEnders

As The Slaters excitedly discuss her potential move to The Vic, Kat’s happiness is short-lived when Yolande and Ian both cast doubt on her decision.

After taking a call from Alfie, Jean is so distracted on the bap van that she fails to pass on the message to Stacey.

Later, the family head to The Vic where they face off with the Beales who are also attempting to bid for a sale. And Jean finally relays Alfie’s message to Stacey.

And Ian and Cindy snipe at one another after she overhears his plans to sell Beale’s Eels for the sale of The Vic.

As Johnny, Elaine and Linda prepare for The Vic auction, Kat arrives back at No.31 with good news from the bank.

However, following her call, Stacey drops the bombshell that she can’t lend the money to Kat leaving her devastated.

Later, Jean jumps to the conclusion that Alfie is helping Hayley when Stacey confides in her, but Stacey reconsiders the loan offer after Jean shares some pearls of wisdom.

As Jean, Freddie and Mo attempt to stall the auction, a bidding war ensues between the Beales and a developer.
