And when Patrick returns, what will he make of recent events?
On the morning of her sentencing, Kim is in a state of high anxiety. Howie and Denise try to reassure her, but Kim is insistent that she might go to prison.
Privately, Howie tells Denise they can’t afford counselling for Kim, but she desperately needs it and Denise hands over £500 from her and Jack’s joint account to fund the sessions. When Jack sees the money is missing, he hits the roof.
At court, a nervous Denzel gives his statement. But when the prosecution plays footage of the accident, Kim has a full-blown panic attack.
Arriving home, Patrick discovers what’s been going on, including Denise's marriage hanging by a thread and is shocked that no one told him. And when Denise asks him about his time with Yolande, Patrick is evasive.
Upon hearing that Jack and Denise are in dire straits, Patrick offers counsel to Jack, advising him to show Denise how much he loves her.
As Denise fields Howie’s questions about Kim, Patrick worries she’s going to burn out as she tries to look after two families. And Denise is touched by Jack's efforts when he later surprises her at Fox and Hair with a picnic lunch and bottle of prosecco, forcing her to take a much-needed break.
On his birthday, Howie is thrilled when Jack and Denise arrive with a special present and later arrives home to a surprise family party with all the Fox-Brannings in attendance.
