As Dev and Kit accompany Bernie to her appointment, in the waiting room, she tells them she knows in her heart of hearts that her test will prove negative.

Losing his temper, Kit storms off. Catching up with him, Bernie berates Kit for his negative attitude. Will Kit finally open up about his own diagnosis?

At the station, when Kit loses his rag with a suspect, Lisa is forced to step in and orders him to take the day off and sort himself out, or he could lose his job.

Later, when Bernie misses Christina's celebratory drinks, she confides in her about Kit’s cancer.
