Later, Kit tells Lisa that Gary definitely knows more than he’s letting on, and he intends to get to the bottom of it.

Elsewhere, Todd takes a call from the prison informing him that Summer’s been admitted to the hospital.

He's soon horrified when Summer admits that she switched off her insulin pump and made herself ill because she can’t cope with life in prison.

As Todd relays this to his friends in the Rovers, will someone be able to mask their guilt?

Later, when Asha, Nina and Todd visit her in the hospital, Summer breaks down as she admits she’s dreading going back to prison.

As he watches hushed conversations, Kit’s suspicions are aroused once more. Have they charged the right person in Summer?

Maria tries to hide her unease, as she worries about her relationship in light of Gary’s recent behaviour.

As Kit marks Gary’s card, making it clear he’s watching him, does Maria have something to be worried about? Calling Lisa, Kit tells her that, to his mind, Gary is their prime suspect.

As a despondent Maria waits for Gary in Speed Dahl, she confides in Shona that things haven’t been right between them for a while. Are Maria’s worst fears about to be realised?

Apologising to Maria for standing her up last night, Gary is interrupted by the arrival of Kit and Lisa. And when Lisa explains they’d like Maria to go over her statement again, Gary’s rattled. What have they got on him?
