But?

 24-30 OCTOBER

Liam arrives back in the village after his night away, with Manpreet exiting his car too. And the pair are shocked when Chas accuses them of having an affair!

However, Chas’s accusation falls apart when Claudette steps in and reveals she, Liam and Manpreet were at a murder mystery night.

As Liam tries to explain why Chas wasn’t invited, he upsets her and Marlon checks on Chas, suggesting she could try and prove Liam’s assumptions wrong.

The next day, Paddy finds a “body” with a knife in its back at the vets. Shortly after, Liam and Chas find a panicked Paddy, who leads them to Mary’s “corpse”.

As it quickly becomes clear that Chas has organised a murder mystery day for Liam, Liam is touched and very excited, but soon Liam struggles to maintain enthusiasm, and Chas is frustrated.

A little while later, Liam tries to figure out the clue Chas left behind when there’s a knock on the door. Liam answers it to Dave, who he assumes is part of Chas’ game, letting him tie him up. Dave’s frustrated by Dylan’s absence, as Liam continues to misunderstand the situation.

When Dylan enters, petrified to see Dave, Dave reveals Dylan ratted him out to the police, and Liam starts to realise just how much danger he’s in.

When Marlon and Chas arrive, Dave’s quick to knock Marlon out. And as Liam and Chas try talking him down, he pulls a gun and guides Chas outside.

Emmerdale continues Monday to Friday at 8pm on ITV1 with first look episodes available from 7am on ITVX
