But can Sheila be trusted?

 13-19 JUNE

As Denise ignores repeated calls from Walford General, determined to start treatment on her own terms, Jack confides in Phil, and together they consider how to get through to her.

The Fox‑Trueman’s rally together to find ways to support Chelsea and Jordan, and when Denise notices Kim’s ring, she is prompted to reveal her and Howie’s engagement. The family agree to celebrate later in The Vic, though Chelsea notices Denise is distracted.

Later, Denise is stunned when Phil turns up knowing about her diagnosis, and she throws him out despite his concern.

At The Vic that evening, Denise panics when Jack and Phil arrive, fearing they’ll reveal her diagnosis. Overcome with emotion during Kim’s speech, Denise rushes to the toilets, with Chelsea close behind.

Refusing to open up, she returns to the pub, where she finally reveals her diagnosis, leaving everyone stunned.

After going public with her diagnosis, Denise returns home and tries to gather herself before finally returning the hospital’s call. As the family process the news, Kim is shocked that Yolande already knew, while Chelsea calls Libby.

With Denise facing a month on the ward, the family promise to keep everything running smoothly at home. As she prepares for treatment, Denise wavers until an emotional heart‑to‑heart convinces her to go through with treatment.

At the hospital, Denise begins treatment, determined to survive this for her family, and Max and others quietly show support for Jack.

Libby arrives on The Square to support her mum, and despite tension, Libby and Chelsea share an emotional moment, and Chelsea admits that Gray’s nan, Sheila, has been sending cheques that she hasn’t cashed.

As she faces rising costs, Chelsea becomes overwhelmed caring for Jordan and is taken aback when he asks to see Denise and Jack.

Secretly, Libby attempts to contact Sheila for help, but Jack interrupts with news that Denise wants to see her and Chelsea. At the hospital, Denise makes Libby and Chelsea promise to look after each other, and they both agree to be tested as potential bone marrow matches.

In The Vic, Libby tries to hide a text from Sheila but clashes with Chelsea when she’s caught. Chelsea later opens up to Eve about wanting the best for Jordan, before making peace with Libby and calls Sheila for help.

Nervous but supported by Libby, Chelsea meets Sheila and, after probing about her relationship with Gray, is relieved to learn she has no contact with him. So when Sheila offers financial help for Jordan, Chelsea initially accepts but later returns, guilt‑ridden.
