Liv is delighted in Emmerdale as Vinny tells her that Aaron is 'on his way' to her hearing

But is he telling the truth? And could Liv be released?

With no update from Manpreet, time is running out for Liv.

In the hospital room, DS Rogers ask Manpreet to recount specific details Meena may have shared about Ben’s death and Vinny is distraught when DS Rogers informs him that due to lack of concrete evidence, Liv isn’t going to be released.

Manpreet is shocked when Vinny pays her a visit to ask her to lie to the police and the next day, Liv informs Vinny a court hearing has been requested due to some new evidence. Asking him to tell Aaron, Vinny obliges.

At Wishing Well, Mandy and Lydia dance at the news Liv may be released, but the mood is brought down when Chas tells them Aaron isn’t coming and Vinny panics that his absence will set off Liv’s drinking.

As the day of the hearing arrives, Liv, in her prison cell, packs to go home and whilst Vinny is excited, he's also worried about telling Liv that Aaron isn't coming. Unable to burst her bubble, he tells her that Aaron's on his way, leaving him wretched at his lie.

Meanwhile, Manpreet and Charles remain united despite her voicing ideas she should move away. And as Manpreet continues to put on a brave face as she struggles with her anxiety and physical frailty, can Charles stop her from moving away?

Emmerdale continues weeknights at 7pm and Thursdays at 8pm on ITV
