Mal helps Bernie through a busy shift in the café in Corrie

But will he keep their secret?

When Mal arrives to start work as an electrician in Roy's flat, Bernie hides her discomfort and suggests a cheaper electrician to Roy. But he refuses, feeling partly responsible for Mal's marriage breakdown.

Later, Dev and Bernie find Mal at the Rovers, and Bernie discreetly speaks with Mal, who assures her he'll keep their secret and be gone once his work at Roy's is finished.

When Mal enters the café to find Bernie struggling with the lunchtime rush, he offers to help out, and she reluctantly accepts.
