Having seen everything, how will Ruby react?

25-31 JANUARY
Martin is cold with Ruby after how she dealt with Councillor Barker.
Even when Barker later announces that the council will keep the market open, it doesn’t change Martin’s stance and in a bid to prove him wrong, Ruby finds Barker and tries to put things right.
As celebrations commence, Martin is called to his stall where a vengeful Barker is closing it down for an alleged health and safety violation.
With Martin furious at Ruby, Stacey speaks up for her and things get even worse for Martin when he goes to tell Ian what’s happened, only to be met by total indifference.
And with Martin devastated that even Ian doesn’t care about the legacy of their family business, Stacey tries to rally his spirits before visiting Ruby to beg her to use any tricks she can to get the stall back. Determined to show she’s changed, Ruby refuses.
Instead, Stacey enlists Honey’s help to get Martin’s stall back and a warm moment between Martin and Stacey almost results in a kiss, until they pull away before it goes too far. But Ruby has seen everything.
When Ruby confronts him over what she saw, Martin brushes it off. When he tells Stacey about Ruby’s questions, they agree it meant nothing.
Later, Ruby asks Stacey if she has feelings for Martin, but she promises they are in the past.
