Max apologises to Alya in Corrie as he's released early

Will she forgive him? And how long before Max lands himself in trouble again?

Yasmeen is horrified when Lily reveals that Max might be released today, pointing out that Alya almost died because of him.

Having been told of his early release, Max jams his bed across his cell door, determined he’s staying put. Talking to Max through the door, David assures him that he wants to help and a tearful Max admits to doing some terrible things and can’t face returning home.

Filled with shame after a police officer calls to fit him with an electronic ankle tag, Max spots a delivery driver outside Speed Daal and hands him a letter for Alya.

Reading Max's letter, Alya's anger rises as he writes about how sorry he is and heads out on a mission.

Later, at Gav’s request, Max tracks down his girlfriend, Bec, to the precinct flats. In the café, Bec polishes off her food, taps her number into Max’s phone and heads out leaving Max to pay.

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1
