After rejecting a call from her Dad, Lauren admits to Max that she still misses him. And when Shona tells her that she’s got her a job at the café, Lauren’s grateful, but nervous.
Wishing Lauren good luck, Max says he'll pop into the café later to give her moral support. But as Lauren gets off to a rocky start in the café, Shona assures Roy she’ll get the hang of it.
But when Sabrina approaches Max suggesting they hang out at No.8, he sends Lauren a text telling her he won’t have time to drop by the café.
Unbeknownst to him, a downcast Lauren watches him from across the street as he heads home with Sabrina who later admits to Max that she really likes him. But as long as Lauren remains in his life, a relationship is out of the question, Torn, who will Max choose?
Returning home, Lauren tells Max and Shona that Roy’s given her the job on a permanent basis.
