The clues were there, with talent tweeting and live streaming from the set, but today the BBC have confirmed that there will be a third series of Murder In Successville on BBC Three.
Filming has already begun on the third series of BBC Three's unique improv comedy format, Murder In Successville with Tom Davis back as DI Sleet to solve more crimes against the world of celebrity in Successville.
DI Sleet is a hapless yet loveable detective investigating a crime. Each episode a guest celebrity joins him to solve the crime, without a script to follow and no idea what awaits them.
The series will return with six more episodes this year, and so far his rookie recruits include Professor Green, Richard Osman, and Reggie Yates, with more names set to be announced soon.
The new run follows two series broadcast in 2015 and 2016, both of which won considerable critical and audience acclaim. Speaking about the new series, Tom Davis said:
"I'm over the moon to be jumping in my Capri gear and heading back to Successville, it's time to serve up a justice burger with a side order of fun with five brand new sidekicks."
Damian Kavanagh, Controller, BBC Three and "How exciting! I’m sure fans of this hit BBC Three show will be thrilled to hear that DI Sleet is heading back to Successville with a new cohort of sidekicks to investigate more crimes."
DI Sleet and his sidekicks will be joined by a resident cast of top comedy names including Kerry Howard, Luke Kempner, Colin Hoult, Cariad Lloyd and many more.
