Will her and George's baby girl be OK?

 28 MARCH - 3 APRIL

As George prepares for Knight Fusion’s launch, Harry notices Nicola seems distracted, prompting her to explain she hasn’t felt the baby move, but doesn’t want to alarm George.

When Harry and Gina accompany her to the hospital, tests confirm the baby is fine.

George is left feeling nervous as preparations for the opening of Knight Fusion are underway.

After a heated discussion with Penny, Nicola is taken over by several waves of pain. Refusing Harry’s demands for her to go to the hospital to be checked, Nicola decides to go home to rest.

As Knight Fusion’s launch gets underway, Nicola is hit by what feels like contractions. When guests begin arriving, George gets concerned when Harry shares his worries about Nicola, who is noticeably absent. Concerned, he heads home and finds Nicola on the floor, overcome with pain.

At the hospital, Nicola shares her concerns about having a premature baby, and when there are complications with the birth, she is forced to undergo an emergency caesarean and gives birth to a baby girl.

Due to flu symptoms and bleeding, a heartbroken and distraught Nicola is forced to remain isolated from the baby. And George shares a tender moment with his new daughter and is overcome with emotion as he watches her through an incubator in the NICU.

EastEnders continues Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One with first look episodes available from 6am on BBC iPlayer
