Oscar causes mayhem as he returns to Walford in EastEnders

But why is he back? And can he turn his life around?

Lauren is shocked when she receives a phone call which later reunites her with her brother, Oscar. As the two catch up, Lauren learns where he has been and why he can’t return home.

Soon, Jack is greeted by Denise and the kids as he arrives back home and is soon reacquainted with Oscar. Determined to convince Lauren to let him stay, Oscar lays on some emotional blackmail, as Peter and Ian arrive asking questions.

Lauren relents and agrees to let Oscar move in for a while, as long as he promises to behave. However, Oscar later gets a message that proves he's maybe more trouble than he’s worth.

As Oscar wastes no time making a big impression on the locals, Jack talks to him and discovers more about his difficult relationship with his parents.

Later, Oscar comes up with a scam to part Ian from his money by staging a fall in the chippie and demanding compensation, which leaves Stacey amused. However, the fallout of the incident has consequences when the social worker sees the drama unfold.

As Oscar continues to cause mayhem, following some advice from Jack, Lauren offers Oscar a trial shift on the fruit and veg stall, insisting this is his chance to turn his life around.

Initially, Oscar is sceptical, but Penny finds an innovative way to get him to agree to give it a go.

However, Oscar’s first day on the market is eventful and nobody believes he’ll last. But when he finds out that Jimmy is blind, Oscar proves he does take things seriously and knuckles down to make the new job work.
