Paul receives some grave news in Corrie as he's left to organise Shelly's funeral

And how will Bernie cope when she's questioned by police?

Paul's thrilled when Summer hands Billy and Paul a Polaroid camera for their stag do and explains that phones are banned. As they arrive at the bistro Billy’s taken aback by all the glitter and the rainbows but Paul loves it. And as Gemma leads the drinking games, Billy starts to relax.

Soon, the police call at No.7 and tell Bernie they’d like her to answer some questions regarding a potential fraud investigation involving Shelly Rossington.

At the station, Bernie makes out she’s simply helping a young woman with MND by collecting a few parcels for her, but the police have a shocking revelation for Bernie that leaves Paul reeling.

Later, confiding in Todd, Paul implores him to keep schtum about his assisted dying plan.

And when Paul goes over Shelly’s funeral arrangements with George, he explains he’s written some words about her that he’d like placed with her body.

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1
