Peri and Romeo are forced to come clean about their secret in Hollyoaks

Is Peri responsible for Rayne's murder?

With Leela concerned about Peri’s defensive behaviour, Rayne's fans are planning a rally and when Zain and Yazz try to advise Peri not to rise to it, there’s a miscommunication which results in her confronting them face-to-face.

With heckles from the late influencer’s fans directed at her, Peri lashes out and later at home, Peri goes to make a video to clear her name but when a noise spooks her, we see an unknown figure sneak into the house.

Turning to Romeo about the unknown figure that was in her house last night, Peri tells him that it's not their only concern as an anonymous ‘Truthboy’ online is about to leak news about Rayne’s killer.

Ordered by Rayne before her murder, a box of Halloween decorations is delivered to the shared house and Peri comes up with the idea of continuing with the party in Rayne’s memory and recording it to show the online world how the group are sticking together. Finding the idea tasteless, Nadira leaves them to it.

When Peri doesn’t like the outfit chosen by the influencer, she opts to wear what should have been Rayne’s. As talk turns to who killed Rayne during the party, Prince and Lizzie admit they think Peri might have been involved. Hurt, Peri runs off and Phoenix chases after her, reminding her that she has the support of her friends.

Concerned that Peri looks guilty, Leela suggests her daughter goes on the run, but Joel disagrees believing it could make things worse.

When Leela comes face-to-face with Rayne’s followers’ things get physical between them, and Romeo promises he won’t let Peri go down for the murder.

Later on in the week, at the masquerade ball, Ste helps James by striking up a conversation with the constable about the murder investigation.
