Peter breaks up with Lauren and insists on fighting her for custody of their sons in EastEnders

Can Kathy reunite the struggling couple?

At No.25, things are still tense between Lauren and Peter as he struggles with Jimmy’s diagnosis.

And Lauren is overwhelmed when she is bombarded by well-wishers in the Square. But as she attempts to get Peter to join her, he continues to dismiss her pleas.

As Cindy and Kathy join forces to help the couple, things take a turn for the worse when Peter blames Lauren for Jimmy’s health. And when Lauren heads to The Vic and Harry’s Barn for a drink, both Linda and Gina refuse her.

After being encouraged by Cindy, Peter finally attempts to bond with Jimmy. And when Lauren is a no-show at No.25, having stayed out all evening, Cindy helps Peter with Jimmy.

Later, Lauren finds Peter in the café to explain, but he is in no mood for talking and heads to the hospital for an appointment for Jimmy without her.

In the café, Honey and Lauren share a heart-to-heart on Jimmy’s diagnosis, whilst at the hospital, Peter is warmed by an encounter with a fellow patient and returns home full of hope.

Howver, it’s not long before he and Lauren come to blows when he discovers she almost relapsed. Breaking up with Lauren, Peter insists he’s going to fight for custody of their sons.

At No.45, Kathy persuades Peter to make amends with Lauren and the pair eventually put aside their differences. But Peter grows concerned when it’s clear Lauren is hiding something.

Heading to The Vic, Peter asks Johnny about custody advice. Overhearing, Honey informs Lauren who heads to No.45 to officially end things with Peter.
