Peter pulls out all the stops for Lauren’s surprise wedding in EastEnders

Will Max’s arrival send everything into chaos?

 27 SEPTEMBER - 3 OCTOBER

Peter pulls rank as he and the family put plans in place for Lauren’s surprise wedding, but he’s immediately met with a stumbling block when Lauren refuses to go the spa day in favour of work.

Penny, although unaware of the wedding plans, intervenes and the pair later go for drinks where her comments cast doubt on Lauren’s relationship.

When Lauren heads to The Vic with Penny to meet Peter for a drink, they’re both shocked to arrive and discover The Vic is set for a wedding as Peter asks Lauren to marry him!

Elsewhere, Stacey tries to convince Lily to move to Brazil, but with Lily adamant that she and Charli are staying in Walford, Jean and Zoe both attempt to dissuade Stacey on separate occasions. However, Eve is fully supportive of the idea.

Later, Stacey heads to The Albert for her leaving drinks, where she reveals that she has decided to stay in Walford.

As Stacey puts on a brave face, Lily is concerned her mum has made the wrong choice. And Jasmine soon finds herself on the receiving end of the Slaters' wrath when she demands they pay for their drinks up front.

Meanwhile, a shocked Lauren reluctantly agrees to Peter's wedding plans and heads to No.25 to get ready. When Penny senses that Lauren is overwhelmed, she insists she is fine before attempting to flee.

As Lauren and Peter prepare to marry in front of friends and family, will Lauren go through with it? And the drama is far from over as Max arrives!

Whilst the residents of Walford reel at Max Branning’s return, Stacey and Zoe look on stunned as Max turns his attention to Lauren and Peter.

After spotting Zoe and Max talking, Kat warns her daughter off him, but it’s clear that Max’s attention is on Stacey, and he follows her back to No.31. Later, Zoe and Lily attempt to convince Stacey to move to Brazil, and she finally relents.

In The Vic, Oscar attempts to get Max’s attention, but his attention is diverted to Zoe. And Peter grows concerned about Max’s arrival, fearing that Cindy will return.

As Max and Lauren argue over their similarities, she orders him to leave Walford, and Cindy is stunned when Jasmine reveals Max Branning is back. And she heads to The Vic to face the man who killed her son!

Meanwhile, Stacey and Mo try to get hold of Jean, but unbeknownst to them, she's stuck on the tube with Priya, unaware of the full extent of drama unfolding at home. And Priya helps calm Jean as she has a panic attack.
