Phil's exhausted as Nigel's behaviour turns dangerous in EastEnders

Can Kat help Phil realise he needs help?

 21-27 JUNE

Phil is worried about Nigel when he goes out barefoot.

His fears are exacerbated when he returns home to find chaos in the kitchen and the situation gets dangerous when Nigel and Phil grapple over a pan of boiling water.

Later, Kat clocks Phil is injured and realising something is wrong, presses him to be honest about Nigel’s condition. During a heart-to-heart, Kat realises Phil’s exhausted and in over his head.

The following day, Kat visits Phil and suggests he needs extra support to care for Nigel, but he refuses.

Later, Nigel offers to help Lexi write a story for school but as they talk about the past, Nigel struggles to cope and Phil is troubled when he finds Nigel with Lexi who he has confused with Claire.

Meanwhile, Kat is annoyed when Jean questions why she’s spending so much time at Phil’s place, but she insists it’s nothing but platonic concern.

As Kat tries to confide in Jean about her hurt over Alfie being incommunicado, Jean refuses to forgive her for going into business with Kathy and Harvey.

As Phil tries to manage the fallout of Nigel and Lexi’s conversation, Kat insists that he must get help.

Later, Denise advises Phil to look after himself, as well as Nigel.
