Prime Minister Andy Burnham joins Gogglebox for Stand Up to Cancer

He'll appear in a special episode this Friday alongside Mayor of Liverpool Steve Rotheram.

Ahead of Friday's special episode of Gogglebox for Stand Up To Cancer, Channel 4 has announced that Prime Minister Andy Burnham and Mayor of Liverpool Steve Rotheram will be joining Gogglebox regulars, and other famous faces, to react to the week's television.

The Prime Minister has a longstanding commitment to supporting charities, building on his work as Mayor of Greater Manchester and continuing in office as Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister and Mayor of Liverpool join the recently announced Sugababes and Joe Lycett to review the TV of the week - and this time it’s for a good cause.

Nothing is off limits as Gogglebox continues to celebrate the simple joy of watching television together. They’ll be sharing hilarious, honest and often unexpected reactions to the week’s biggest television moments as well as poignant stories all in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.

More celebrity TV critics are to be announced.

Gogglebox for Stand Up to Cancer airs this Friday at 9.05pm on Channel 4
