Rhona lashes out at Gus as she faces him in court in Emmerdale

As Rhona’s fate hangs in the balance, will she be found guilty?

FOR WEEK COMMENCING 8TH APRIL

As Rhona dreads facing her kidnap charges, Marlon struggles to get her to take her mind off her upcoming day in court.

When the day arrives, they’re soon called in for the trial and Gus begins to twist the narrative as a horrified Rhona watches on.

Fighting back, Rhona’s defence begin to question Gus’ good character and when Vanessa prepares to take the stand, Rhona hopes the tide is beginning to turn. But will Vanessa be caught out by the prosecution’s questions?

Meanwhile, Paddy’s attempts to distract April fall at the first hurdle when the Woolpack starts to descend into a debate about Rhona’s court case.

Back in court, Rhona takes to the stand and as she face the prosecution's accusations about her character, a fired up Rhona begins to lose her composure and lashes out at Gus.

When the judge adjourns for the day, Rhona is left kicking herself for getting so upset. And she’s left shaken when a smug Gus revels in her capitulation in court.

As the jury heads off to deliberate, Rhona’s fate hangs in the balance and she paces anxiously as she awaits their decision.

Meanwhile, as the debate at the Woolpack rages on, the group are put in their place when April worries that if even Rhona’s friends can’t agree, then how will the jury.

Emmerdale continues Mondays to Fridays at 7.30pm on ITV1
