But will he accept help from support group leader Matt?

 10-16 MAY

During a special episode on Monday, dedicated to Mental Health Awareness week, Tony and Diane gently suggest counselling to Ro, hoping to encourage him to open up. But Ro lies that he’s been attending a support group and that’s where he is heading now.

Finally meeting Nina in person, Ro is eager to share plans and resources he’s found to help them run away together. However, Nina has had a change of heart and urges him to join her at a support group session instead. But Ro declines.

When Kathleen Angel tries to comfort him, Ro shuts down.

Hoping to surprise her son, Diane decides to visit the support group herself and meets Nina, who admits she’d been hoping Ro would attend. And group leader Matt invites Diane to stay.

Meanwhile, Ro slips quietly into the flat above The Dog where he contemplates suicide. Concerned for her friend, Kathleen-Angel calls Diane who realises something is seriously wrong.

Finding Tony at the Hutch, they both race through the village in search of their son. And dread keeps in when Diane discovers a bracelet that she once gave Ro tucked into her pocket. Is this his way of saying goodbye.

As Tony and Diane rush to their family home, Ro calls an LGBT+ helpline.

The following day, Diane introduces Ro to support group leader Matt. But can Ro trust him? And later, Ro finally checks his message from Arlo. But what will it say?

Hollyoaks continues Mondays to Wednesdays at 7pm on E4 with first look episodes available at 7am on Channel 4 streaming
