Feeling unwell and having returned early from his bat watch meeting to find they have no electricity, Roy gives Jodie the day off and goes up to bed.

When Carla approaches Dev and Bernie outside the café, they point out the smoke coming from Roy’s flat. With everyone believing Roy is at the bat watch will he be found in time?

In the flat, Roy lies unconscious, surrounded by a blanket of deadly smoke.

At the station, Lisa tells Kit that Mal is accusing him of assault, and he does his best to style it out, assuring Lisa that the man is unhinged and simply has it in for anyone connected to Bernie. Unconvinced, Lisa lets it go.
