Sally struggles for signatures in Corrie as her anger over parking upsets local businesses

But will she be willing to park her anger?

In the cafe, Sally complains to Shona about the increase in chaotic parking locally and how she got a ticket yesterday thanks to an overzealous traffic warden.

Noticing Izzy’s friend Fergus, Sally’s embarrassed to learn that he’s a traffic warden himself and apologises for her cafe rant. But when she learns that Fergus himself issued her parking ticket, Sally loses her cool and Fergus scurries away.

When Sally crawls to Fergus, hoping to get her parking ticket revoked, he gives her short shrift.

Aggie offers to help Sally with her parking campaign but soon regrets it when Sally plonks a hefty pile of paperwork in front of her. Later Sally informs her that she’s arranged a meeting with the council about the parking problem.

As Sally pounds the pavement in pursuit of signatures in favour of resident permits for the street, Maria’s too busy to stop, while Tracy and Alya argue the move would be catastrophic for their businesses if customers can’t park nearby so refuse to sign.

With Sally feeling frustrated, Steve and Tracy point out to Tim that Sally’s permit plan would be disastrous for Street Cars.

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV
