Sam's lumpectomy brings everyone together in EastEnders

But can Sam talk Phil out of taking Nigel to Portugal?

At Raymond’s request, Ricky arranges a surprise birthday party for Phil, but the mood sours when he suspects Sam is about to leave again.

When George finds Sam with a letter about her lumpectomy, he advises her to be honest with Ricky.

Later, Sam finally shares her diagnosis with Ricky, who promises to support her.

Sam tries to talk Phil out of taking Nigel to Portugal. As Phil prepares to take Nigel to Portugal after Sam’s operation that day, Denise notices Phil isn’t himself and asks George to check in with him.

As Sam heads to the hospital for her operation with Ricky and Jack, she's glad to see Phil is there when she comes round.

However, Sam accidentally mentions Phil’s plan for Nigel in front of George, who soon tells Denise. How will she react?
