Sarah believes Lydia's lies in Corrie

But is that enough? How far is Lydia willing to go with her fantasy?

In the factory, Sarah confirms that Lydia won’t be returning to work and Adam assures Carla and Daniel that he hasn’t slept with Lydia since his uni days. But they don’t believe a word.

Calling in the factory, Adam does his best to convince Sarah that Lydia’s an evil fantasist, assuring her that she's telling a pack of lies. But Sarah doesn't believe him and at the flat demands dates and times from Lydia of when she supposedly had sex with Adam.

After Sarah suggests it’s all lies, Lydia shows her threatening texts, making out they’re from Adam. But when she points out they're from a different number, Lydia suggests she calls the number and Sarah is shocked to find a phone ringing in Adam’s drawer.

Arriving to find Sarah dumping his stuff outside, can Adam talk his way out of this one?

Desperate, Adam calls at Lydia's house asking to talk. But spotting a couple of passers-by, Lydia plays the victim and shouts at Adam to leave her alone, making out she’s scared. When she eventually opens the door, Adam is horrified to step inside and find that she's trashed her house in another elaborate bid to set him up.

As he pulls out his phone to call the police, Lydia tells him it’s too late as they’re already here. Is Adam in more trouble?

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV
