Sure that Gary is about to be arrested, Kit tells Sarah, and she panics about her wedding outfit that forensics took away.

Meanwhile, Maria hears from Fiz that Kit believes Gary will be arrested. But it soon becomes clear that the evidence is all pointing to Sarah.

As the Platt family finish filming a birthday video message for Audrey, the police arrive and arrest Sarah under suspicion of murder. But has Gary escaped scot-free?

In Victoria Garden, Kit takes a call from Sarah at the station and tries to reassure her.

At the station, Sarah swears she’s innocent, whilst in the office, Lisa tells Kit that not only is Sarah their prime suspect, but they reckon he was involved too.

At the station, Lisa tells Kit that they’re charging Sarah with murder and that if he values his career, he’ll stop trying to protect her.

Meanwhile, Todd confesses to a shocked Summer that he knows Sarah killed Theo but assures her that he didn’t know at the time Summer was being questioned.

Visiting Sarah, Kit tries to persuade her to tell the truth about Gary’s involvement. Will she agree?

Over breakfast, Maria confides in Gary that she’s worried sick the police will release Sarah and come after him instead, but Gary assures her she’s panicking over nothing.

In the salon, Maria clocks Sally’s screensaver, which is a picture from Carla’s wedding. Examining it closer, Maria is shocked when she sees Gary in the back of the shot and asks an unsuspecting Sally to send her the photo.

Returning home, Maria shows Gary the photo. How will he explain that he can clearly be seen on the street, proving that he didn’t spend the entire evening at the builder’s yard as he’d have everyone believe?

As Kit struggles, finding parenting Harry a challenge, he's pleased when Adam steps in to diffuse a situation in the cafe, offering to help where he can.

After putting on a front for the boys, Maria makes it clear to Gary that he has given her no choice and she’ll have to retract the statement she gave the police, providing him with a false alibi. Can Gary get her to reconsider?

Gary begs Maria to give him another chance and swears that he loves her, not Sarah, but Maria’s conflicted and resolves to talk to Sarah.

On Friday, Maria visits Sarah and rails at her for involving Gary in Theo’s death, and Sarah finally decides to come clean to a shocked Lisa about killing Theo. But will she drag Gary under the bus with her?

Later, Kit is shocked when Sarah reveals it was Jodie who attacked her, and Maria struggles to cope with what Gary’s involvement means for her and her family.

Elsewhere, Shona and David’s joy at discovering that Harper can come home from the hospital is short-lived when news of Sarah’s admission reaches them.

And when Nick, Toyah and Leanne find out that Sam is also being discharged but Nick worries about what effect it might have on him when he finds out his Aunty Sarah has been charged with murder.
