How will Leanne react when she finds out?
When Simon arrives for work hungover, Nick points out that he’s still drunk and sends him home. In the Rovers, a tipsy Simon orders another pint.
The next day, realising Simon has the hangover from hell, Leanne covers with Nick and tells Simon to take the day off, but admits she’s worried and reckons he’s drinking too much.
Later, when Bobby tells Nina and Summer that he plans to throw a party to cheer Simon up, he asks them to invite Lauren and they guess correctly that he fancies her.
The following morning, Simon wakes up on the sofa with a banging headache and as Bobby clears away the empties, Simon surreptitiously takes a swig of vodka.
Back at home, Nick tells Toyah he needs her help shopping and asks Simon to drive Sam to his chess competition. But as they set off, Simon loses control of the car on a bend and crashes into a road sign.
In a panic, Simon orders Sam out of the car and tells him to run.
Later, Simon admits to Leanne that he pranged her car, but when she insists they report it to the police, he refuses and Leanne is horrified when Simon admits he was over the drink-drive limit.
Meanwhile, Nick and Toyah return from their shopping trip and admire the engagement ring Nick’s chosen for Leanne.
