The Assembly is returning to ITV1 for a third series

Which celebrities will be next to be quizzed by The Assembly?

Following another successful run, ITV1 has confirmed that its unique interview series The Assembly will return for a third series with a new group of plucky celebrities set to take the hot seat.

Now famous for their no-holds-barred approach, The Assembly are a remarkable group of inquisitive interviewers who are autistic, neurodivergent and/or learning disabled. Once again, they will expertly quiz those in the hot seat, asking questions viewers didn’t even know they wanted.

Series two saw stars including Sir Stephen Fry, Sir Lenny Henry, Rylan and Nicola Sturgeon, whilst the series included Danny Dyer, David Tennant, Jade Thirlwall and Gary Lineker.

Ahead of the show's return, ITV's Director of Entertainment, Reality & Daytime Commissioning, Katie Rawcliffe, said "We’re immensely proud of this series. The Assembly takes the celebrities and viewers on a complete rollercoaster ride - it really is a show where you have to expect the unexpected."

To which ITV's Entertainment & Reality Commissioning Editor, David Smyth, added "There are so many more celebrities who need The Assembly experience. Everyone that’s done it walks away saying it’s the best thing they’ve ever done, and the warmth we receive from fans and critics alike shows viewers agree. We can’t wait to get cracking with more."

The Assembly has been streamed 6.9 million times and reached over 10 million viewers

across ITV channels and ITVX. On YouTube, figures have reached 2 million and are rising.

The series is produced by Rockerdale Studios, who, together with ITV, have worked with

autistic and neurodivergent organisations to ensure every element of The Assembly works

for and with autistic and neurodivergent voices.

The Assembly is executive produced by Michelle Singer and Stu Richards for Rockerdale Studios.

The show’s format is an adaptation of French series Les Rencontres du Papotin and now airs in 20 territories, including Canada, Australia and Brazil, with more than 250 celebrities already welcomed globally, including Erling Haaland, Gal Gadot, Antonio Banderas and Catherine Deneuve.
