The Good Ship Murder returning to 5 for a fourth series

Shayne Ward returns as Jack, whilst Catherine Tyldesley drops by as Kate for a final farewell.



5 has today confirmed that The Good Ship Murder will return for a fourth series, following the continued success of the hit crime drama. The new series promises more sun-soaked destinations, spectacular show tunes and gripping mysteries on the high seas.


Shayne Ward will return as cabaret singer turned detective Jack Grayling as he embarks on a brand new voyage packed with intrigue and danger.


The new series will open with Catherine Tyldesley returning as First Officer Kate Woods for a special appearance in episode one, marking Kate’s final chapter on board. Her departure sets the stage for an exciting new era for Jack, as he navigates fresh challenges, new alliances and unexpected twists.


Series four will see Jack navigate new personal and professional waters as high-stakes mysteries unfold against the backdrop of stunning Mediterranean locations and glamorous cruise ship life.


It'll welcome a wave of new guest stars and new characters as the ship sets sail once more, signalling the beginning of a bold new adventure for the much-loved crime drama.


Made by Clapperboard in association with FIFTH SEASON, the new series of The Good Ship Murder will be produced by Jonathan Phillips and executive produced by Mike Benson and Andy Morgan for Clapperboard.


Speaking ahead of the show's return, 5's Commissioning Editor, Greg Barnett, said "We are thrilled to be bringing The Good Ship Murder back for a fourth series.
