Having clocked Gary and Maria arguing on the street, Kit tells Lisa he is suspicious of their behaviour, but he’s reminded that he is off the case.

Meanwhile, an upset Maria confides in Sarah that her marriage is falling apart. But when Sarah tells Gary that she is struggling with her guilt, he begs her to keep quiet, otherwise he could go to prison.

Arriving home, Sarah finds that Kit has cooked a romantic lunch, before dropping to one knee to ask her to marry him. What answer will she give?

At the station, Kit studies the evidence board relating to Theo's murder and tries to quiz McLaughlin about the suspects, who refuses to be drawn.

Later, Kit warns Sarah that her freedom is in Gary’s hands and she needs to get hold of his phone so they can delete any data which might incriminate her. Will Gary give her the phone?

Secretly calling the guy tasked with wiping the data from Gary’s phone, Kit asks him to forward any information he can find to his personal email address. Whilst on the street, DC McLaughlin tells Lisa that they’re ready to arrest Theo’s murderer.
