Can Tom repair his relationship with Cindy after she sells the market?
At Price Slice, Tom is horrified when he hears Pearl speaking about the sale of the market and rushes out to find answers. And as Dave tries to convince Ethan the pair should go on the pull, Cindy walks by and he manages to bag a date with her.
When Tom catches up with Cindy, she admits she committed fraud by signing his name and sold the market with its debt leaving them with no profit. And with Cindy’s mind in an unstable place, her insensitive words aimed at him leave Tom hurt and wanting nothing more to do with his sister.
If he wants to fight to keep the market, Tom has a tough decision to make and that's whether or not he reports Cindy to the police for fraud.
Meanwhile, Cindy and Dave’s flirting leads to her inviting him out for a day of fun, but with her mental health in a bad place, reality begins to slip further away for her.
After hiring him as her lawyer, Grace gets a visit from James who tells her that Cindy has sold the market. Shocked, as she's behind bars due to a scheme gone wrong that was intended to save her friend's business, Grace's shock soon turns to concern and she asks James to check on Cindy's mental health,
Wanting to help Grace find a way to get out of jail quicker, James comes up with a potential bargaining chip for her.
At the hospital, Tom feels awful for not recognising that Cindy was struggling with her bipolar and when Tony and Diane turn up to support both Tom and Cindy, Tony criticises Dave for taking her drinking while having an episode.
Stepping in, Tom reminds them that nothing matters other than being there for Cindy, but things take a dark turn in the hospital when Cindy’s mood quickly changes.
After an overwhelming day, Lizzie and Sam try to cheer Dave up, but as he goes off, we see him pull a bag of drugs out of his pocket.
Meanwhile, Cindy wakes up in the hospital missing her son as she tries to piece everything together. Tom reassures her that she hasn’t done anything wrong and soon attends a meeting with social services about the care of Ella and Hilton while Cindy’s receiving treatment.
Later, a chat with Dave over a beer leaves Tony under the impression that Dave sees Cindy as more than a friend. Knowing Cindy needs as much support around her as possible, he suggests that Dave goes and lets Cindy know he’s there for her.
Down at the hospital, Cindy isn’t ready to see Dave and blames him for her being in there and asks her to leave. However, Dave lets her know that when she’s ready he’ll be there for her.
