Can he convince her he’s doing the right thing?

15-21 AUGUST

Shona suggests to Sally they meet for lunch as it’ll give Lily and Lucy a chance to make up.

Handing Lucy a letter of apology, Lily reveals that her own Mum is dead and she knows what she’s going through. Hugging Lucy, Sally suggests that she and Lily could become best friends.

Later, when Sally and Tim assure Brody that Joanie and Shanice will visit their mum as soon as they’re back from Spain, a resentful Lucy seethes, desperate to see her own dad.

When Tim blocks her pleas for even a phone call, Lucy lashes out and refuses to join them for tea, leaving a defeated Sally and Tim to admit they might be completely out of their depth.

Soon, Tim tells Sally that social services called and Lucy will be going to meet her new foster parents tomorrow.

After receiving a visiting order from Richie in prison, Richie asks Tim to back up his self-defence story, as it’s his only hope of avoiding a prison sentence. But when Tim refuses to lie for him, Richie loses his temper and points out that if it weren’t for him, he would never have returned to the house. Will Tim change his mind?

When Joanie and Shanice arrive home from Spain, Tim accidentally sends a pan crashing to the floor, causing Lucy to jump out of her skin and head out to the garden.

Joining Lucy, Tim assures her that it’s her home as much as anyone’s.
