Concerned about troubled Freddie, Mercedes searches Freddie’s memory box, and finds a letter addressed to her, which stops her in her tracks. It’s a letter from Warren that Freddie intercepted to stop him reaching her. And Mercedes goes to confront Freddie.
Later, on the city walls, Mercedes waits for the author of the letter as Warren Fox returns. And after he learns of her bowel cancer diagnosis, Warren tries to remind Mercedes of their past.
