Will Ken accept her offer of being his companion?
As Ken beavers away in the café on the Roxanna script, Brian accuses him of bigging up Wendy’s part simply because he fancies her. Despite Ken denying that's the case, it's clear that Brian has hit a nerve.
Taking Ken aside, Brian warns him that Mary’s on the verge of quitting the play. Keen to quash claims of bias, Ken asks Nigel to work with Wendy on her monologue. But Wendy's disappointed by Ken’s apparent snub.
When Nigel tells Ken that he'd quite like to ask Wendy out himself, he tells him to go ahead. Wendy is confused when she realises it was Ken’s idea and confronts him, demanding answers.
Calling at No.1, Wendy explains she was shocked by Ken’s declaration, but shares his feelings and would like to be his companion. But when she says she will relinquish her leading role, will Mary get the gig?
