Kym Marsh stars in 5's new drama The Imposter, from Neighbours outgoing boss Jason Herbison, which places a sprawling seaside hotel at the heart of a dispute between matriarch Helen and her three adult children, Simon, Kate and Ian.

The kids want to sell, but Helen, despite her ailing health, is against the lucrative deal. But Helen also has a secret, an older child, Amanda, whom she gave up for adoption in the UK before the other kids were born.

When Amanda turns up out of the blue, Helen embraces her, believing she is the answer to her problems. But is Amanda who she says she is? The lucrative hotel is the ultimate prize, and a twisted scheme soon spirals into betrayal and ultimately, murder.
