Aaron finds himself in danger as Robert's suspicions of John grow in Emmerdale

Can Robert save Aaron before it's too late?

 30 AUGUST - 5 SEPTEMBER

When John and Aaron return to the village for lunch with Chas, she's saddened to hear that Aaron’s definitely moving away.

Whilst Aaron tries to downplay his concerns regarding John’s behaviour, Chas senses something is off and John panics to hear that Charity’s considering calling the police over Mack’s disappearance. And he quickly makes up an excuse so that he can rush off, leaving Aaron bemused by his strange behaviour.

Later, as Vic discusses Charity’s worries about Mack with him, a suspicious Robert storms out after Vic reveals that Aaron and John are moving into John’s childhood home.

Interrupting him packing up, Robert tries to convince Aaron that he’s making a mistake and Aaron wavers when Robert moves closer and claims that their connection is still very much alive. As the tension builds, Robert kisses him, but Aaron struggles with his feelings.

Back at the cottage, a jealous John is determined to make his husband dependent on him by any means necessary and plans to drug Aaron.

As he prepares the spiked whisky, John’s pleased when he’s able to manipulate Aaron into swigging it. With Aaron uncharacteristically affected by a single glass of whisky, John’s ready to look after him.

However, when John heads out to fetch firewood for a cosy night in, Aaron decides to pour himself another glass from the drugged whisky, unaware of the danger.
