Adam finally proposes to Alya after Debbie’s disastrous blunder in Corrie

Paula returns to the hotel and apologises to Debbie for her behaviour, but Debbie remains frosty.

When Adam approaches and goes over the details of his marriage proposal plans with Debbie, Paula listens with interest and, playing on Debbie’s confusion, convinces her that she’s staying in room 108.

Having forgotten that Adam booked room 108, Debbie hands over the key, and Adam leads Alya into the hotel bedroom intent on asking her to marry him, only to find the engagement ring missing.

In reception, Adam lambasts Debbie for ruining his proposal plans, and she soon realises with horror that she gave Paula the key to his room.

When Debbie meets up with Paula, she demands she hand over the ring. Later, Debbie returns the engagement ring to Adam and Alya.

Later in The Rovers, Adam takes out the ring and asks Alya to marry him. As Alya accepts, everyone cheers!

As Ken, Daniel, Tracy and Amy join Adam and Alya for engagement drinks, Daniel admits that the petition’s been a disaster and Ken urges him to write a piece for the Gazette.
