Alice and Steve returning to Disney+ for a second series

But what happens next?

Disney+ has announced that after THAT cliffhanger ending, Alice and Steve, created and written by Sophie Goodhart, will return for a second series.

In series one, Alice, played by Nicola Walker, is devastated when her best friend Steve, played by Jemaine Clement, starts dating her 26-year-old daughter Izzy, played by Yali Topol Margalith. 

She’s going to lose her best friend and her daughter in one fell swoop. Alice tries everything she can to end the relationship. Unfortunately for her, Steve’s more than ready for the attack, and what begins as a perfect friendship devolves into an all-out feud.

Speaking ahead of the show's return, creator and writer Sophie Goodhart said "I am so thrilled that Alice and Steve has been given a second season.  No one will be prepared for what happens next, especially not Alice and Steve."

To which Lee Mason, VP, Scripted, Disney+ EMEA, added "It’s been fantastic to see the rapturous reactions to Alice and Steve from viewers at home. Sophie has created a distinctive and original comedy, striking a chord and sparking debate with audiences across the country. I’m excited to see what mayhem Sophie and Clerkenwell have in store for our titular characters after that delicious cliffhanger – but we can expect more laughs, betrayal, and bad decisions in season two."
