 3-9 JANUARY

Laurel looks panicked and guilty as she furtively stashes something in a drawer, whilst a furtive Rhona makes a secret call. And Marlon looks guilty as he pings off a text. Having not found April yet, both are worried and both look guilty about something.

Outside the vets, we see Ross pulling up in his vehicle with a dishevelled April, and it’s clear they too share a story.

When April enters the house, Marlon is overwhelmed with joy, whilst a worried Rhona asks if further repercussions from Ray or Celia are likely? But April’s answer is noncommittal and having finally told her family everything, April is adamant that they go to the police despite their worries.

The family panic only rises further when they learn for the first time how missing Bear has been held at Celia’s farm as a forced worker for all these months. And they remain terrified about further repercussions from Ray and Celia, wondering what to do with this information. But April is insistent they have to go to the police.

Meanwhile, Shock ripples through the Woolpack pub when Bob Hope arrives and tells all about Ray and Celia’s operation.

When Paddy returns to the village, Rhona invites him in to break the news.

Gobsmacked and shocked after being told everything, Paddy kindly tells April and Dylan that this wasn’t their fault, but they are all worried as Bear is still unaccounted for.

Emmerdale continues Monday to Friday at 7pm on ITV1 with first look episodes available from 7am on ITVX
