Arthur’s wracked with guilt as he hides Ray's cash from Laurel in Emmerdale

But will he return any of Ray’s ill-gotten gains?

Whilst Laurel feels she’s turned a corner in her relationship with her son, Arthur’s just relieved she hasn’t noticed he’s sitting on a large envelope of cash. When she leaves, he takes it and hides it in his hoodie pocket.

April can’t help noticing that Arthur’s flush with cash and after shattering Arthur’s illusions about the drug trade, he’s left subdued and guilty to think that by spending Ray’s cash he’s profiting from her family’s misery.

Outside Smithy Cottage, Arthur’s left full of self-loathing as he’s unable to bring himself to return some of Ray’s ill-gotten gains to their rightful home.
