Cain's anger flares as he kidnaps Robert in brutal revenge plot in Emmerdale

Can Robert escape Cain’s wrath?

On the morning of Cain's operation, he and Moira try to be strong for one another. Whilst over at the cafe, Kyle is having breakfast and is worried about his dad’s impending operation. Soon, in the hospital, Cain is wheeled off into surgery, and Kyle panics.

Before long, it’s clear that Cain's prostate surgery operation went well, but his relief is short-lived when he is confronted with the reality of his catheter. Worried about potential permanent incontinence, Cain spirals, faking pain to avoid being discharged.

Moira is frustrated by his auctions, and so is Sarah, who heads off to the hospital to approach Cain about his self-pity, and her words are what prompt him to finally go home.

Once home, Cain struggles to recuperate, and his anger flares when he realises there is an atmosphere during an Aaron and Robert visit, and once they’ve gone, Moira is forced to admit it was Robert who planted the identity documents that got her arrested. Raging, Cain wants revenge.

Later, Cain secretly asks Sam for a favour, and the next day, Robert is working on the farm and, whilst investigating a noise in the barn, is attacked from behind and knocked unconscious by Sam.

Waking up tied to a chair, Robert is confronted by a brooding Cain with a hammer, who demands Robert ‘pay’ for his actions.
