Cain supports Sarah's big decision about her future in Emmerdale

Charity worries for fragile Sarah as her first moment back in the village reminds her of what the operation has cost her.

Offering to help grandad Cain with a poster for Nate’s memorial, Sarah knows the emotional burden Cain is carrying and puts on a brave face for her grandad. But when his back is turned, her facade crumbles and Sarah stubbornly refuses to rest after her hysterectomy despite Charity’s protestations.

And Tracy reprimands Cain for putting posters up about Nate’s memorial without considering the impact they might have on Frankie.

Eager to be distracted from her recovery, Sarah heads to the garage and offers to help Kammy out at work. But Cain is not happy to see she is working but he too is looking for his own distractions.

When Sarah and Gabby arrive into the hospital, Jacob rushes to Sarah’s aid as she collapses from the pain.

When Cain visits his granddaughter’s hospital room, he's devastated after Sarah tearily tells him the accident made her realise how badly she wants a family of her own.

When Charity arrives, she’s stunned to hear Cain suggesting Sarah try surrogacy in order to fulfil her dreams.

Despite Charity's frustrations with him for raising Sarah’s hopes, Cain commits to helping Sarah have a child, no matter what it takes.
