The news comes ahead of Friday's Big Brother 2023 final.
Big Brother has listened and during tonight's live Big Brother eviction, it was announced that Celebrity Big Brother will be coming back to our screens. The last series aired on Channel 5 in September 2018 and was won by former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas.
Whilst Big Brother now airs on ITV2, Celebrity Big Brother will air on ITV1 with Celebrity Big Brother: Late & Live airing every night after the main show, over on ITV2. It will remain the only place to watch the famous evictees' first live interview alongside an array of unmissable exclusive features including access to the camera runs, special guest commentary and debate.
The star-studded celebrity edition will feature a new cast of famous faces isolated from the outside world as they embark on the ultimate social experiment, taking up residence in the iconic Big Brother house.
Leaving luxury behind, the celebrities will take part in weekly nominations and tough tasks with cameras capturing their every move. Who will win the hearts of the nation, go all the way to the finish line and be crowned the winner?
The live feed will return seven nights a week, allowing hardcore fans to watch live house footage well into the small hours.
Following the success of Big Brother's return in October, which saw 3.6m viewers watch the launch show, its highest ratings since its days on Channel 4, the new series will continue to be produced by Initial (part of Banijay UK).
