Observing Laurel and Ray’s closeness, Celia’s deeply worried that her son is getting attached and having seen enough, decides it’s time to wreck things between Ray and Laurel by painting her son as a manipulative, emotionally-distant playboy.

Once Celia leaves, Laurel can’t hide how her words have affected how she feels about Ray and he struggles to hide his upset as he heads out.

Observing an angry Ray storming out of Mulberry, Rhona is deeply worried for Laurel.
