What does this mean for her and Paddy?
Struggling the morning after hearing of her mum's illness, Chas' heart breaks when Faith reveals that she doesn't want to carry on with her chemotherapy. Confronting Cain with the news, Chas knows that he's the only one their mum will listen to. But will he reach out?
After learning that Liam also knew about Faith's cancer, Cain lashes out at him and throws him to the ground before retreating.
Faith is swayed by Chas into resuming her chemo and heavily in denial, Chas isn’t aware that this isn’t the decision Faith wanted to make. And as Cain and Chas clash over Faith’s decision to continue with her chemo, Cain calls out a guilty Chas for making Faith’s decision for her.
Concerned, Chas later asks Faith if she’s happy with her decision. Despite staying strong in front of Chas, Faith's mask soon slips once she leaves, knowing Chas is the only reason she made that choice.
But as Faith tries to make light of her cancer and focus on the positives, a fretting Chas is left feeling troubled. And with Chas still unable to cope with the reality. Paddy feels useless, unable to truly help his wife.
Out on Main Street, Chas apologies to a downbeat Al and as they open up to each other about their respective families, a sympathetic Al comforts a distressed Chas. Reasoning with a contemplative Chas, Al suggests that she be more honest with Faith so they can both face the reality of her death.
Later, at the Woolie, Chas apologises for pushing Faith towards more chemo and as Faith's tough exterior crumbles, the two embrace, having finally cleared the air.
After Paddy brings home hospice flyers, Chas takes out her frustrations on Al after he suggests she took it the wrong way. And Chas softens when Al states he could be her friend if she lets him.
Keeping up her tough exterior, Chas thanks him for helping her through a tough time and attempts to get Al to open up.
As the two begin to relax with each other, they share an intense moment and when Chas says she wants to forget everything that’s happening, they bond over a bottle of wine and stories of Faith. Upon leaving, Chas stumbles onto Al and the two share a passionate kiss.
Meanwhile, struggling with the thought of Faith not being around for her, a sorrowful Sarah has to deal with the thought of her own illness.
