Will Max’s lies finally catch up with him?

 17-23 OCTOBER

Kat remains determined to find the man she believes let Zoe die.

After tracking down the former owner of Charlie's cab, she and Alfie are disappointed to learn he has already been cleared by the police. Refusing to give up, Kat vows to get justice.

Jasmine grows suspicious of Kat’s behaviour and questions Alfie. And wanting to lift Mo's spirits, Jasmine, Josh and Oscar organise a bingo night in Zoe's honour.

Meanwhile, Max tries to sweet-talk Suki into selling him No.31, and learns Cindy has returned with Rafael, a young man she met on her honeymoon.

Declaring she's focused on the future, Cindy's confidence is dented when her card is declined.

Eventually, Max agrees to help her financially, but Cindy's suspicions are sparked when she finds a lipstick in his flat and becomes determined to uncover his mystery woman.

As Cindy continues digging into Max's secret relationship, she confronts Lauren before turning her attention to Oscar, after learning of Max's plans to buy No.31.

In The Vic, Cindy overhears Max on the phone and starts another row. And later that evening, something piques Cindy’s interest on her and Max's laptop and she warns Lauren not to trust Max, revealing what she found.

During a viewing of No.31, Cindy, with Lauren in tow, exposes Max's secret New Zealand property and undermines his attempts to buy the house. Suki rejects his offer in favour of another, leaving a humiliated Max declaring war on Cindy.

Seeking answers elsewhere, Cindy learns of Kat's revenge plan and the man that left Zoe.

Meanwhile, Max persuades Oscar to help him prove his marriage was never consummated with Cindy. And as the drinks flow between Oscar and Cindy, her suspicions are eventually stoked.

Soon, Max's problems mount when HMRC catches up with his New Zealand property and Cindy, convinced he's hiding something, demands answers.

EastEnders continues Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One with first look episodes available from 6am on BBC iPlayer
