David fights for Max in Corrie, wanting the best possible defence for him

But when Max pleads guilty, what will his sentence be?

After receiving an email from Max’s solicitor, a worried David tells Gail and Stephen that they’re escalating Max’s charge to Encouragement of Terrorism. Calling at No.8, Max’s solicitor, Harriet tells David that in her view, Max was groomed by Griff and was very much a victim.

Pleased to have her on board, David assures her that he’ll find the money for her fees as he wants the best possible defence for Max. But can they raise the funds?

Confiding in Maria, David tells her that Max is refusing to take his calls. And when Alya calls in the café, she assures David that he's not to blame for Max’s actions.

Alone at No.8, David knocks back whisky in a bid to blot out his worries about Max and tells Maria that Max pleaded guilty and is now awaiting sentencing.

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1
